Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn, an American actor from the United States. She is best known for her character Skyler White on the AMC Drama series Breaking Bad for which she received the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting actress in the Drama Series in 2013 and 2014. She performed the roles of Jean Ward and Martha Bullock and Martha Bullock, respectively, on The Practice. She was born in Sante Fe, New Mexico in the year 1968, Anna Gunn fell in love with the art of acting at Preparatory School before her family relocated to Ohio during the latter part of 1970. She studied theatre at Northwestern University and spent a period in the British American Drama Academy. Anna was employed in the theatre in the Chicago area for several years, before attempting her hand at TV as well as film roles. Anna had her biggest break in the year 1992, when she portrayed Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. Anna continued to be in film and television shows like Seinfeld, NYPD Blue and other shows until the end of 1990's. Then she was selected for The Practice as Jean Ward. Martha Bullock was her role in Deadwood in two full seasons. Skyler was in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully was another of her characters. Gunn has also appeared on the stage starring in the David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She was also a part of the podcast audio drama of four episodes Numbered days, which was released in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate demise mirror the last few decades of Walter White.
